Serial Number: 00004 is 1 of 2 prototype modular guitars with a body that was printed as a single component. Boasting an accidental textured finish, these two instruments are the test subject before a course correction. The light blue PLA is sure to stick out, with the carbon fiber vinyl artwork included to start the sticker bomb collection. The featured gloss maple neck is the only one of its kind on the original prototypes. This guitar also features volume and tone knobs that are setup backwards because we forgot how to read a website description when ordering parts, as well as a three-way selector switch that is disconnected in the middle because our wiring guy really likes a cut off switch.

How does it work?

The CNRG modular guitar has four components: a body, modular heel, carbon fiber plate, and the neck. Guitar necks can be interchanged with the four included quarter turn fasteners, or removed for travel. Plates housing different electronics or instrument setups can be removed through the back of the instrument. Once removed, access to the modular heel is open so the player can accommodate the guitar type. All bolts are 3/16 in., once assembled, the player can string the instrument like any other electric guitar.

Please note that the guitar shown is a prototype to test new concepts, constraints, and fine tune how the instrument is manufactured and assembled. This product is not a final design or production model and has the defects to show for it. It was rather unlikely to get the quality we were after with the first few guitars, especially when they were assembled on an apartment dining table. Do note that the guitar is functional as an electric guitar and while the modular aspects are in working order, it is not guaranteed that they will be interchangeable with future options. Your support for this product will be directed towards new equipment, materials, and resources to allow the Carbon Rose brand to grow and perfect our product offerings. Any issues with the instrument that cannot be worked out will be noted to improve the overall product and buyers of early models will have priority in future sales, giveaways, and product offerings.
